Position Description: Responsible for working with senior team members to manage the game design effort. Designs and develops the creative vision and fun factor of the product. This includes specifying game interfaces, developing story lines, writing proposals, treatments, and dialog scripts, and defining gameplay mechanics. Accountable for defining, documenting, maintaining, and communicating the complete game design, and working with artists and engineers to deliver these new titles.

Essential Job Functions:

• Lead preproduction of new titles, originating game ideas and features, and creating initial concept docs to pitch internally
• Participate in brainstorming sessions
• Determine market data to backup your ideas
• Design game mechanics
• Describe user experience and produce wireframes of the game experience and flow
• Write creative narrative elements of the game
• Write detailed design documents for the development team to follow
• Work with developers and artists to oversee the implementation of new features and system
• Balance revenue opportunity and customer experience within the game
• Motivate and coordinate with the game development team
Position Requirements: Qualifications:

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree preferred

Required Experience:

• Ability to identify problems, analyze the situation and make appropriate recommendations and decisions
• Ability to bring projects to completion
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment

Preferred Experience:

• Minimum of 1 year of game design experience or experience in game production
• Knowledge of current trends in video gaming and online gaming in the mobile, social/casual, console, and pc markets
• Familiarity with game play features of current casino video and mechanical slots
• Video game development, particularly in mathematical and puzzle games

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

• Strong knowledge of game mechanics, balancing, pacing, and monetization strategies for retail, mobile, casual, and free-to-play games
• Excellent communication skills to see your game vision realized
• Passion to create fun games with an engaging player experience
• Adept with Word and Excel
• Ability to work well in a team environment
